City of Edmonton Energy Transition Plan Update

A continuation of the work done with the City of Edmonton for their Community Energy Transition Strategy. SSG was tasked with modelling city planning scenarios to estimate and forecast the energy and environmental costs of Edmonton’s City Plan with a target of doubling Edmonton’s population to two million people.

SSG is being contracted to extend their modelling and analysis to: a) carry out additional analysis on the levers to be used for deep emissions reductions that achieve the level of ambition aligned with a 1.5 degree global average temperature increase, and b) create a ten-year action plan that captures the results of this additional analysis.
