In 2019, alongside many other municipalities in Canada, The City of Courtenay declared a state of climate emergency. With this in mind, and in collaboration with DIALOG and whatIf? Technologies Inc., SSG is developing the City of Courtenay’s Official Community Plan (OCP). This OCP will focus on delivering several key objectives including undertaking a meaningful engagement process in order to create city-wide dialogue, aligning the OCP with existing city plans and strategies, implementing sustainability policies, and tackling affordable housing on a local level.
