FLNRO Climate Action Plans

The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations (FLNR) is responsible for the stewardship of BC’s natural resources, which are all directly subject to the impacts of a changing climate. This positions the Ministry as an important player capable of offering a variety of climate change opportunities and solutions.

SSG was engaged to create Climate Action Plans for four FLNR branches: GeoBC (mapping and resource data), Archaeology BC, Resource Management and Operations Branch, and the Cairboo Region. Each department has a unique position within the provincial government, with oversight over natural resource management and protection. SSG worked with staff to ensure that the jurisdiction of each department is used to full effect in each of the Climate Action Plans.
