Sustainability Solutions Group is hosting a one day symposium during the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco on September 13, focused on the next wave of approaches for designing and modelling low carbon/decarbonisation pathways for cities. The symposium is targeted to practitioners, policy-makers, city staff and academics who are actively involved in modelling or pathway design.

Objective:

To take stock of the current state of practice and to develop an agenda for the next wave of city energy and emissions modelling.

Presentations:

Presentations will address the themes of the role of land-use, decarbonisation as economic development, data considerations, modelling approaches, case studies, equity and co-benefits.

About us:

SSG has led the development of low carbon pathways for more than 50 cities and over the past three years has developed a systems dynamics model to evaluate city-scale energy and emissions pathways with our partner whatIf? Technologies.
